22 Months and counting... too fast!

I really don't want the next two months to go by very fast. I only get two more months to say my babies age in "months". I guess I could say they're 48 months when they're four years old but I'm thinking that might sound a bit goofy.

The twins have changed so much in just the past month. They are talking like crazy and can do so much now. Of course they think they can do much more than I'd like them to, but I'm sure that's just a sign of the future with them. Here's a short (kinda) rundown:

Reagan says: Mommy, Daddy, Mama (what she calls my mom.. Reagan made that up on her own and my mom is very worried to take her out alone anywhere for fear people will think my 62 year old mother has a 22 month old child!), Boppy (my dad), Boppa (Ryan's dad-again, she made both up on her own), shoes, RaRa (my sister Ronda), Mimi (Jan, her grammy) doggie, Melmo (Elmo), Dorothy (Elmo's goldfish), E.I.E.I. (she hasn't added the "O" on yet), milk, icky, please, fishy, bye bye (with a Miss USA wave to go along with it-picture wrist, wrist, elbow, elbow), uh oh, and even more that I can't think of right now.

Hunter says: Mommy, Daddy, Bobby (again for Dad and Ryan's dad), Nanny (what he termed my mom), bike, please, no no, whoa (hang ten there buddy), bye, and his favorite... UH OH! And when he says "uh oh" you darn well better believe the boy means it. There are some more but again, I can't think of them all at the moment.

Some of the things they do now include: sliding down their slide, walking up and down the stairs like big kids (they don't even need me which isn't such a good feeling for Mommy), Hunter helping Daddy with all his projects, Reagan helping Mommy with laundry and dusting, going with Mommy outside everyday to get the mail, playing with Thomas (more Reagan than Hunter), watching Thomas and Elmo (definitely more Reagan than Hunter), scooting the chairs up to the counter while Mommy isn't looking and grabbing anything they can get their pudgy little hands on, reading books, rock hunting, and on and on (again).

I do have to admit that I can't remember much of what life was like before these little cuties were in it, but I do know that it wasn't even close to being this fulfilled. I never knew two 22 month olds could bring so much joy and laughter (and yes... a bit of stress) to my life. I love you so, so much Hunter & Reagan!

We all Scream for Ice Cream!

Saturday we went over to Ryan's dad and Jan's house to hang out, eat great food, and have homemade ice cream! The ice cream was the best ice cream I had ever had and it's all because Hunter and Reagan helped make it!
We had strawberry ice cream... mmmm!!!
Hunter couldn't believe he was actually allowed to push the button!
Bring on the ice cream folks!

Brain freeze?
I think she likes it...

Chic-a-pow-pow

It's hard to believe that a girl like me could produce a girl like Reagan. I know what you're thinking... "OF COURSE you'd have a sassy, hard-headed, know-what-you-like little girl!" No, I'm not talking about that. What I'm talking about is... ready??? Prissy!!! Yup! Reagan's most favorite thing (besides Thomas the Tank Engine) is walking around in my heels (one of only 2 pairs I own!) and carrying my purse (one of only 3 purses I own! Hey.. at least 2 out of the 3 are Coach!) Anyhoo.. I was getting kind of worried that she was going to break an ankle so I cruised on over to Target and got her a pair of her own. I never in a million years thought this phase would begin before the ripe old age of 2. But... I have to admit... I LOVE it! I absolutely love all the girliness she possesses! I can't wait for her birthday to buy her fancy princess dresses and jewelry and shoes. I know!! Who woulda thunk it.. That kind of talk coming from a boring 'ol "granola" like me. By the way... I HATE it that the term granola also goes along with the hippie liberal freaks. Just thought I'd throw that in there. I am not a hippie.. and I MOST DEFINITELY am not a liberal!

Strike a pose hot sauce!

Much better! And you just can't beat this look (the shirt and diaper look that is!)!

Nothing like new, fancy silk jammies WITH new, fancy glittery high heels!
Of COURSE I bought my little man something too!!! A couple of new Hot Wheels! A jeep and a 2010 Camaro..ode to Grandpa Mike!!

Even more forgotten pics!!!

Okay.. most of these pics are my fault for not posting. I can't even blame Melissa this time! There are some new ones though that were only taken in the last couple of days:-)

Yes... I call him Sponge Bob...

When Grandpa Brett and Grammy comes over they always feed the pigs..
Hunter helping Daddy fix the sprinkler. The grass is all pretty and green again now!
Hunter digging in his "dirt box". Yes.. I told Ryan that Hunter's (bigger!) sandbox really needs to move up on his priority list.
The aftermath of playing in the dirtbox with her big brother. Hunter would much rather pour dirt ALL over Reagan than INTO a bucket.
Reagan and Cade catching up on some Elmo
This happened while Mommy was away. What would give you your first impression of that?!

Reagan playing with Grandpa's IPhone. This is the scariest picture I've ever seen. Kirsten.. you know how I feel about teenage girls. Is this a sign???

Forgotten Pics

Here are some pictures from this summer and some more recent ones that I finally received from Melissa. Yes.. Melissa isn't so great at getting pictures emailed but she is getting better! Sorry Melissa!!

We took the kids to The Orchards Town Center where they have a big play area with fountains and all that good stuff.

Breckenridge

Saturday we went up to Breckenridge with our friends Rob & Melissa and their little man Cade. They have a timeshare up there which is a mighty nice perk if you ask me! We left early Saturday morning so we could enjoy the entire day up there. The weather was a little chilly but the pools were heated so that's all you can ask for! Hunter was in heaven with all the water and Reagan was in heaven with the little playground just her size! We ate lunch at the Lodgepole restaurant at the resort and grilled steaks for dinner. It was such a nice place because it was 3 rooms. There was plenty of space for both families, yet we got to hang out in the living room together too!

Sunday we went downtown Breckenridge and walked around. We ate lunch at Eric's which was one of the coolest restaurants I've been too. Definitely a mountain town type of place which I LOVE! After lunch we took the kids to the toystore called Peek a Boo Toys. In the back they have a big play area where kids can just be kids and parents can try to catch a breath. Of course we had 2 running around so there weren't many breaths to catch, but the kids had a great time!

It looks like Melissa and I are really going to need to learn to like to ski because Breckenridge is great! The place is ski-in ski-out so we really don't have many excuses... except that I just wasn't born a natural skier, nor graceful at all for that matter...

The view from the room. The hottubs were HUGE!

Give the boy fountains and he'll give you laughs!!

Not quite sure what I was looking at here...
The Fessler Fam
Get a load of the kids faces. Can you say TIRED???

I LOVE it when I don't have to cook... and no one wants me to!
All 3 in the bath after a dirt and chlorine-filled day
I think I've mentioned before how the twins are freaks for Thomas the Tank Engine. Especially Reagan!
Verrrrrry tired......

The Dillon Dam
On our way home. Notice we aren't holding any kids because they fell asleep in the car about 5 minutes into the drive:-)

Yes.. it really has been THAT week.. and it's only Tuesday....

I really don't even know where to start. Okay.. I guess I'll start with Sunday. Sunday was a fantastic day. It was my friend Stacy's 40th birthday so to follow tradition, we all went out to the Omni for a spa day. The day was so gloomy and not very warm but thankfully the outdoor pool was very warm and of course, so was the hot tub. We love it out there because they have an outdoor bar where you can sit and eat and drink. Well, while I was soaking up the (not so) sun rays, Ryan was at home with the twins and a sick dog. Yes, Lillie took it upon herself to vomit not once, not twice, but TEN times ALL over the house!! I know, I know.. you would think he would have locked her outside until she healed up but you don't understand how annoying (and LOUD) her bark can be. He did the absolute best he could to clean it all up, including the never-failing OxyClean... all to no avail. Thank goodness for carpet cleaning businesses because that is who I called. He came today and $260 later (yes.. I want to cry!), the carpet looks and smells much better.

Well... much earlier today, before the carpet man arrived, I walked upstairs to find the twins playing so joyfully together. Oh isn't that such a wonderful thought? Well now.. add in a HUGE jar of vaseline, sheets, a nightstand, and two 21-month-old's ENTIRE heads of hair and it's not such a wonderful thought now is it?! I am not lying when I say Reagan's head was covered in it. Hunter's new thing is to dump stuff in her hair and she just sits there and takes it! I was okay when it was just dirt.. but Vaseline?? COME ON NOW!!!! I know you think I laughed. Oh.. you are so wrong. I didn't cry but I was VERY close. I immediately got them in the tub and washed their hair THREE times! Nothing.. nothing came out!! So I got them out and ran down to search my trusty Google and found that I'm not the only one who has ever dealt with this trauma. The advice was corn starch. Ick!! So.. to Target I went because as most of you know I barely cook, let alone stock corn starch in the pantry!! Just a bit of advice if this ever happens to you... corn starch works!!! It's not all completely out but it is SO much better!!!

Reagan the grease ball (Maybe this is why the good Lord hasn't let her hair grow too much. He knew this was gonna happen!!)

Hunter the grease ball. His at least was just one side of his head.

Hmm... not thinking she was into the corn starch too much....
Okay.. maybe it's not so bad...
Hunter seriously can deal with anything thrown his way. Vaseline? Sweet. Corn starch? Bring it on baby!
He kinda looks like an Oompa Loompa.. only with white hair instead of orange. He's happy about it though!
I wonder what she's thinking of her brother right about now??

2nd bath of the day and the 4th hair wash. Ahh...
