A little change of heart

Well as you can see, there is no post of Reagan's first day. Yes, she did have a first day but I couldn't bear to leave her there the entire 3.5 hours. I'm just not ready to have them separated I guess. The other problem was that since the place is new, there's not alot of kids yet so the only 2 kids in their class were 2 years old. If there were kids their age, it may have helped a bit but Reagan just seemed lost. I am perfectly fine with my decision and at some point I'll enroll them in something. So.. since we're not paying the enormous amount every month for the program, we decided to decorate and furnish their playroom to make their own little "school". It's about halfway done but I don't want to post any pictures until it's all completed. So.. stay tuned!

Hunter's First Day

We enrolled the twins in the new daycare in our neighborhood. It is called their "enrichment program". Only one goes at a time for two reasons: it's way too expensive for both and it allows me one on one time with them. It is for 3 days a week 3 1/2 hours a day. They get to do all sorts of stuff. They have their very own playground with an activity set that is scaled just to their size. It is so cute! Today was Hunter's first day. Of course he did great I drove by at one point and saw him playing outside with his teacher. I just wanted to pull over and watch. Luckily the place has webcams in the room as well as outside so I can watch all I want. I was so impressed when I went to pick up Hunter and he was sitting at the table eating...with utensils and dishes!! When I've tried that at home they just throw it all over the place!! Reagan's turn is on Wednesday.

Hunter looked so snazzy all ready for school. Until he ate a cookie and made a huge mess of his shirt.

So.. I had to change him and he was not happy to have to be dressed AGAIN!!

The place is new so there aren't many kids there yet. These were the new kids this week. I was very proud:-)

Here is Hunter with his teacher and classmates eating lunch. There are only 2 other kids in the class right now so Hunter looks a bit small.

Such a big boy!!!

The Twins' Rooms

I was going through my past posts and noticed that I never posted pictures of Reagan's room after we finished it. Yes, that was over 6 months ago but better late than never.

This is the doll Santa brought for Reagan. And as you can see, her name is Reagan too!!

We had this done at Sea World in San Antonio. Somehow I was able to have Reagan and Hunter's name mounted and framed in no time, but our wedding portrait is still in a box under our couch...from 6 1/2 years ago:-)

Not sure why it's so dark, but oh well.. You get the gist..

I had their names made from a company called Upper Case Living. If you haven't heard of it, you should check them out. They have everything!!!
I guess I didn't take a picture of Hunter's Sea World name, but it pretty much looks the same except in a greenish frame.
BTW.. Ryan is just dandy:-)

UGH!!!!

Well, I'm headed to Ohio tomorrow. I know, I know... don't be jealous. It won't be a long trip...hopefully. Ryan was admitted to the hospital today for that crazy infection from his wisdom teeth extractions. He was working in Ohio and had this issue when he flew out. It only grew worse very quickly. So after 2 trips to the ER, and an oral surgeon, he was admitted until at least Saturday. I'm hoping everything heals up nicely. As of right now, he can't even talk. My mom is coming over to stay with the kids so that will be very nice. Please put him in your prayers. I'm sure everything will be just fine though.

Ready for the upswing

This last week has probably been one of the hardest so far in parenthood. The only one worse I can think of happened last year (at this very time) when Hunter was admitted to the hospital for a week with RSV. Last Thursday, Reagan came down with the stomach flu that has been going around like wildfire. I was hoping Hunter got away without catching it, but Friday he started the puking and diarrhea as well. Sorry to be graphic but no description would even come close to how bad (and smelly!!) it has been around here. Lo and behold, on Saturday both Ryan and I came down with it. Luckily, ours was short-lived but Reagan and Hunter's is still carrying on. I took Hunter to the doctor today because he would not drink anything and I was very worried about dehydration. The doctor said he was borderline dehydrated and gave me some pointers on what to do. He suggested small servings of both Pedialyte and Gatorade. He said if he threw that up, he'd have to come back in. All I could think about was my poor little guy having to get an IV for fluids:-( I gave him small servings of both Pedialyte and Gatorade and he kept it down. His attitude seems to be a bit better so hopefully he's on the upswing. Reagan seems to be doing much better as well.

I know this isn't a "fun" post but it may explain why I haven't posted any pictures lately. I promise to post pictures just as soon as I get some. In the meantime, please pray for our kiddos.
