Sweet Summertime..

Yesterday we bought the kids a new pool. Hunter wouldn't even let us get it full before he climbed in. I attempted to warm up the water with buckets of hot water so Reagan would get in but her brother's splashing was really annoying her. She did get in for a bit and thought everyone should be very proud of her for doing so. It wasn't long though before more of Hunter's water fascination prompted her to get out.

Just an awesome day in May...

Saturday we went over to Ryan's dad & Jan's house and finally just got to hang out outside... all day long! It was so nice. We had great food and Brett's signature margaritas so you really couldn't ask for a better day!

Reagan and I

These 2 love their ranch dressing! Any food is fair game for dipping! Hunter's a little dirty from all his gardening (see below) LOVE the buttcrack!! Reagan and Grandpa dancingHunter with his new toolbench from Grandpa & Grammy
Reagan just chillin' out Mmm.. food's all gone! You know he's serious about eating when he uses TWO forks!! He's sowing something in there. Only he knows what it is though:-) Here's the reason they ended up with only a diaper on! Someday she really will not be happy with me for putting this one on here..
Hunter ended up finding a dog brush and "un-planting" all of Grandpa's veggie plants. Sigh...
Here's one tired, little man.

Time to clean up! Thank goodness for the mudroom sink!!
Reagan's turn All clean and pretty!

He had a long, hard day. Zzzzzzzzz....... (Again, I promise he has blue paci's but he really isn't picky with colors. Whatever he finds first he takes:-)

My 8 Things

My blogger friend Bern, (and I'd like to consider her a real-life friend too...) tagged me with "Eight Things". I love reading these, therefore I have to oblige so I feel like I'm doing my part. :-)

So here are the rules for "eight things": Mention the person that tagged you, complete the list of eight things, tag eight of your wonderful blogger friends, go tell them you tagged them!

Eight things I look forward to:

  • Summertime!
  • Hunter & Reagan waking up in the morning.
  • My alone time at night.
  • Ryan getting home from his trips. Especially the looooong ones!
  • Church on Sundays.
  • Any vacation, big or small, that is planned. I wish those happened more often!
  • Cool down time in spin class.
  • My coffee and toast in the morning while checking email and Facebook.

Eight things I did yesterday:

  • Went to church.
  • Took a nice, afternoon nap.
  • Visited with my father in law who brought me some tomato plants. He's so nice!
  • Ate pizza with Mom, Ronda, and all of the kids.
  • Well... looks like I need to do a bit more with my Sundays. I could only come up with 4?!?!

Eight things I wish I could do:

  • Play the drums.
  • Sing. I mean actually sing well without the tone-deafness I have going on normally.
  • Go on more work trips with Ryan. Yes. I'm still whining about not being able to go to Spain.
  • Spend more money. I am such a cheapskate. I guess that's a good thing in these lovely economic times we're in!
  • Spend more time with my friends I miss the most.
  • Eat healthier.
  • Speak another language.
  • Go shopping; whatever type of shopping that may be, with the twins alone without having a major breakdown!!

Eight shows I watch:

  • I'll just tell you right now that there is no way I have enough time for the few shows I actually do watch, let alone 8! Those days are LONG gone!!
  • Grey's Anatomy
  • Desperate Housewives
  • Family Guy
  • America's Most Wanted
  • 90210
  • Well 5 isn't too bad! It's usually just music on all day long. Nothing better than watching the twins dance!

I tag: Amanda R, Susan (come on Susan!!!), Chelsea, Melissa, The Kelly's (Paul or Malia.. take your pick!), Alison. That pretty much sums up my blogger friends!! I know.. it's not 8 but that seems to be the trend with mine. Maybe I should have renamed it "My 5 Things"...

It's just not fair!

Ryan left this morning for Spain. I'm not talking an inner-city grody part of Spain. I'm talking beautiful hotel right on the even more beautiful white beach and turquoise water outside of Madrid. He'll be there until May 13th. I'm going to be a lonely momma on Mother's Day but I'm sure I'll survive;-) I was going to try to go with him but a plane ticket was over $1300 and it would have taken 105K airline miles. We're kinda stingy with the miles because we want to use them for multiple trips so we didn't do that. Obviously, we don't have $1300 lying around for me to just take a short trip overseas! So... I guess I'll just keep looking forward to a trip to Missouri to visit Amy & Weston and a trip to Texas to visit all my southern homies:-)
