Christmas 2008

Here are some pictures of our Christmas over at Mom & Dad's house. We spent the day with Mom, Dad, my sister Ronda, Gary, Tyler, Trevor, my brother Danny, Kristi, Cody, & Caitlyn. We opened presents while Hunter & Reagan were sleeping. Bad timing on their part but I'm sure they didn't care. Dad smoked a prime rib and it was beyond delicious!!! Before dinner, we all (including Dad!) watched Mamma Mia in Mom & Dad's media room. It is truly like being at the movies, with the drop down screen & projector and all..except their reclining chairs are WAY more comfortable than any theater! I could watch that movie every day and still love it. Mom took all of the pictures so there aren't any of her in them. One of these days we'll remember to all slow down for 10 minutes and take one big picture together. One of these days...

We just walked in the door and Hunter was already ready for a nap. Can you tell??
I love, love, love her hat and jacket.
Dad getting the prime rib ready to go
Funniest part of the day-Trevor discovered the syrup bottle and this is how we found him on the floor. It was oozing out of his mouth!!
Tyler was very excited to get Sharpay's car from High School Musical

This actually was taken the day after Christmas but I wanted to show his new outfit from Grandma & Grandpa. It's from the Gymboree choo-choo line. My favorite store ever!!
Hunter can't get enough of his new Elmo Live that Santa brought him.
I have no idea why there is a picture of us with Tyler's new Barbies. Maybe I was jealous???
The lazy fam watching a movie. Good thing this room isn't in our house or we'd be in big trouble...and FAT!!

Christmas Eve 2008

Ryan and I had Christmas Eve dinner at our house this year with his Dad and Jan. I have to admit, I was quite stressed out because as you all know, I'm not a rockstar in the kitchen...at all! Fortunately, my sister clued me in to the Honeybaked Ham Store so my main course was covered, and it was SO good! I would highly recommend that place. I was a little bummed that I didn't have any pretty Christmas dinnerware to serve dinner on but my in-laws covered that by giving me Christmas china! It is so pretty. We had a really great time. The kids weren't all that into opening presents but they did like the end result of all the new toys! For some reason the pictures are all out of order but, at least they're on here:-)

We looked and looked for Hunter because he was way too quiet and this is where we found him... hiding in the corner with a box of Kleenex!
Hunter was so happy to get his Christmas clothes off
Grandpa & Grammy with the twins
She is such a Daddy's girl these days
I know the table doesn't look all that pretty in the pic but I promise it looked nice. Especially for my first dinner!!

Their favorite hiding spot
Guess what?? Hunter is walking! He seriously just stood up one day last week and started walking. I hadn't even bothered working with him because I thought it would be at least a couple months:-)
Here is proof that there are still people who love Lillie..us included:-)
Not sure why it's so dark but I'm just happy everyone was looking at the camera!
I think Reagan really liked her new shoes.
They LOVE the new horse toy that hooks up to the TV. Ride 'em cowboy (& cowgirl)!!
Hunter used his drumstick to beat Reagan's dolly in the head. It amazes me how boys & girls are just born that way:-)
Hunter was diggin' his new toolbench!

Since the twins were born, we forgot that we still should take pics of ourselves. Luckily Grammy & Grandpa reminded us of that.

Hunter & Reagan ready to open gifts (I told you the pics were out of order:-) )
I have to constantly remind him that he is, in fact, 34 years old!

Did I mention Daddy's girl???

Neil Diamond!!

Wednesday night, Ronda and I surprised Mom with her birthday present. Granted, her birthday was in October so it looked as if we were a bit late but Neil wasn't coming to town until December!! We showed up to Mom's house all dressed up and ready to go. We told her to get ready and we were taking her to dinner. She was a bit confused when we went downtown to a place called Braun's Bar & Grill. Out of all the places we could have taken her, she couldn't understand why we were going there. Of course we chose that because it's across the street from the Pepsi Center where the concert was being held. She still didn't think anything was up when we had to pay $20 to park and there were "Event Parking" signs all over the place. It was getting very hard to keep a straight face while we were in the restaurant and they were playing non-stop Neil Diamond!! At one point she even said "here's my man! Hey.. isn't he coming to Denver sometime soon?" We played that off but eventually just handed her her ticket because we couldn't explain the spontaneous laughing from us. We had such a great time and Mom loved it!!! Here are some pics from dinner. We obeyed the rule of "no cameras in the venue" but when we got in there flashes were going off everywhere so I guess we would have been fine. Such rule-keepers we are!!

Ho Ho Ho?? Oh, I don't think so!!!

Ryan and I took Hunter & Reagan to have their very first picture taken with Santa. I just can't say I was too surprised with Reagan's reaction to Jolly St. Nick. That's my girl!! And I love her to bits! :-)

Fa la la la la la la la la...

Here is our house all lit up at night. It's still missing a bit of garland but at least you get the point:-) The yard lights crack me up. We had those in Texas but I really wanted them here too even though I knew they'd probably get covered up. They actually just melt away the snow and you can still see them so I'm very happy about that!

Colorado SNOW!!!!

It has finally snowed! A real snowstorm! We've had some wimpy snow but it melted too quickly. Ryan is so excited to finally use his new snowblower. He'll probably snowblow the entire neighborhood! Unfortunately, Hunter & Reagan don't have their snowboots or mittens yet.. just their snowsuits so they can't play in the snow today:-(

1 Year checkup..and shots!! OUCH!!

Hunter and Reagan went for their 1st year checkup today. All is well. Poor little Hunter has excema, small dry spots on his legs. His doctor prescribed some cortizone cream to put on a couple times a day and let me tell you how easy that is to put on a little boy who just wants to crawl everywhere and NOT be tied down! He weighed a wopping 23 lbs. 10 oz. which means we were able to turn his carseat around (we already did on his birthday). Reagan on the other hand weighs 18 lbs. 4 oz so who knows when she'll be able to see the world in drive and not in reverse... She still is in the 25th percentile for weight and Hunter is only in the 50th. He's coming down!! His big 'ol head and height is in the 90th though:-) Reagan is also in the 90th for height. You know, because their parents are so tall;-)

Happy, Happy 1st Birthday to my PRECIOUS Hunter & Reagan!!

Today was Hunter & Reagan's 1st birthday. It's hard to tell where this past year has gone so quickly, but it has been the most incredible year in my life. As I'm sure everyone knows, it was a long, hard road to get these guys and the fact that they are really, truly here just amazes me every day. They have such unique characteristics and make me laugh constantly. They are already the best of friends and can't stand being apart. They play so well together, except for the occasional toy-steal that puts one in a major meltdown:-) I never imagined how life-fulfilling children can be. They have definitely brought us the absolute most love and joy possible. I love you Hunter Ryan and I love you Reagan Marie. Happy Birthday!
