My new fave outfit

No... of course it's not MY outfit. I still have old, ratty clothes but at least my kids are dressed cute! In fact, I really don't think there is anything more fun to shop for then clothes for my kiddos. I don't stray far from Gymboree but this outfit was actually found at Bass Pro Shop of all places and was a gift from Grammy & Grandpa! I love it!!

I've learned that kids are born ornery. Any time Reagan sees a camera pointed at her, she flat-out refuses to look into it. Stinker...

Another backyard project

We are in the process of completely redoing our backyard. Needless to say, the couple that lived here before us were pretty darn lazy in the backyard. At least the rest of the house and the front yard were in really good shape so I won't complain too much. They had this ridiculous deck that maybe one person and a small chair could fit on. Hello? Where do you put the bbq?? Then they were WAY lazy by putting river rock everywhere leaving only a small patch of grass. What grass is there is in pretty bad shape but we're putting our faith in the Trugreen gods that they will fix it. The best part? They stained the fence.. but only so much of it so we have a lovely hue of colors on our backyard fence. I was a little worried to do the backyard because it seems like just when we got our Keller house exactly the way we wanted it, we moved!! I'm not thinking that will happen here though so we should be good to go. Here's some pics of the process along with some of the kiddos playing in their trashy backyard;-)

The new deck "foundation". Now THIS is the size a deck should be!

Ryan and his dad. Don't you love the fence stain??Lovin' the buttcrack

Not quite sure what she's so determined about..

Yesterday, Trevor came over to hang out. Hunter has sunscreen hair!

Some Easter pics...

I just got these pictures today. They are mostly of Hunter on Easter. They were taken on Ronda's camera while Reagan was napping. Our camera was dead all day on Easter Sunday. I have a few more on Mom's camera that I need to get so hopefully I'll post them tomorrow.

Could his hat be any snazzier??Giving his cousin Tyler kisses.

Man, I love this kid!!!
Trevor still can't get enough of picking on his "little" cousin.

Viva Las Vegas!!!

Mom, Ronda, and I left for Vegas this past Monday and got home Wednesday night. We had a total blast. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and luckily we got Monday to hang out by the pool. We got to Vegas at 8 in the morning so we hit the pool first thing. Needless to say though, Vegas is NOT as cheap as it used to be. We got a great rate on our room but the food and drinks there were insane! Luckily the next day, we found some Fat Tuesday's and got our BIG margaritas from there! Case in point: Tuesday we walked the strip and shopped at the shops in Planet Hollywood. Everyone knows just how "frugal" I am, yet after one BIG margarita I was a shopping fool as was Ronda! Mom is always going to make sure we're juiced up before we all go shopping because she had a blast with us since we were actually spending money! Later that night we went to the American Superstars show at the Stratosphere. It was so much fun! It was an impersonation show with Elvis (of course!), Tim McGraw, Rod Stewart, Christina Aguilara, and Michael Jackson. I couldn't believe how they all looked and sounded exactly like the originals. If you ever go to Vegas, I highly recommend this show!

This trip was for my mom's 60th birthday even though her 60th was a year and a half ago. At that time my sister and I were big and pregnant and we weren't in the shape to go anywhere! So we just turned the trip into my mom's 60th, Ronda's 40th (she turned 40 yesterday!) and my upcoming 30th (AAGH!).
Yes, I know I've been a few days off of my 30-day blog challenge. I really should have started it after our trip. Oh well:-)

View from our room 29320Whenever we got in the elevator, the TV would come on showing Taylor Swift coming to MB. EVERY time Ronda would say "look, Taylor Swift is coming here." So... this is our inside joke picture:-)

Our first dinner out at the New York New YorkRonda with Tim from American Superstars. Ronda with Michael from American Superstars. He was hilarious!!

Evidently this was a gross Elvis. I didn't know that until AFTER I had my pic taken with him!
These Mike's Hard Lemonade's were HUGE! It was very fun drinking wherever you wanted!
Not sure what was up with my face but I can tell you I was VERY excited to get my gamble on! I think Mom digging in her purse is classic! She likes to get her gamble on as well:-)
I think this was the only "normal" (see further below) picture of all 3 of us.
After American Superstars with our "cayab driva" Matt
Most of our pictures ended up like this: The "everyone lean in close and hope the aim is right" picture.
Judging from the look on Ronda's face, she must have known this was a gross Elvis! HA!

How much for just one rib??

We went over to Mom and Dad's last night for yummy smoked ribs and all the good stuff that comes with them. Ryan's dad and Jan came over as well. We learned that the twins love ribs. I mean REALLY love ribs. They truly gnawed them down to the bone just like a dog would...HAHA!!!

The girl can't help it.. she loves da ribs! Yummmmmy.......He even has bibs on to go with the meal!!!

BTW... I hope these 4 posts in one day make up for my 2 day lapse on my 30-day blog challenge:-)

Brighton East Farms 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt!!

Saturday morning was the very first Easter Egg Hunt for our neighborhood. After moving here, I got really discouraged about how uneventful this neighborhood was. After coming from a community like Crawford Farms with all sorts of fun stuff, I just felt like I had to do something. After the HOA meeting in December, a social committee was formed and we've had alot of fun getting together. Our first event was the egg hunt and it actually turned out very well. We thought the only kids hunting for the 1000+ eggs would be our own. To our HUGE surprise, the park was packed with kids! Next year we'll probably need 2000+ eggs..seriously! Oh yeah.. it was cooooollllddd!!! Maybe 40 degrees...maybe less...

I think Hunter must have been very cold since he was looking like he wanted to cuddle and go to sleep with the Easter Bunny!

The girls (Nicole, Christina, Melissa, Amy, & Angela) after ALL the eggs had been hidden.Reagan & Tyler Melissa & Cade
Not quite sure why Ryan looks so angry!! Melissa hiding the eggs...so sassy!
Reagan with her one and only egg:-) Amy manning the prize table Melissa, Amy, and Diana. I did mention it was COLD right? Especially at 8 am!!

Vroom!

Friday night we went over to Ronda and Gary's for dinner. It didn't take long for Hunter to find the Flintstone car and climb on in. He was having a great time and Reagan thought he was pretty cool in his new ride until.... his cousin Trevor found him in it! It didn't take Trevor long to take over and, well.. you'll see...

One of these days, Hunter WILL learn to fight back!! :-)
