New Duds

The twins got some new clothes yesterday. I was feeling really bad that Hunter was looking pretty stuffed-in to his clothes so he now has some 12 Month clothes! Yes, they are only 8 months old... He looks SO much more comfortable now. By the way, Reagan's are 6 Month clothes and still hang a bit loose:-)

Scrub-a-dub

Bathtime is quite a chore these days. I do have to say I get quite a workout on the stairs though! First step: haul Hunter up and sit him in the hall. I have to bring him up first because as we all know by now, he just sits there:-) Then back downstairs to grab Reagan and bring her back up. Of course Hunter is the first out of the bath as well. Lotion him all up and sit him back in the hall. My friend Bern told me where to get their little bath seats and they love them! Bathing them is so much easier now.

Sissy & BrotherReagan and her new pose. She stiffens her arms out and screams...LOUD!
Hilarious! Hunter's teething. Can you tell?? Man, look at those biceps!!!
I had to post this pic of Reagan. She sucks in her bottom lip... EXACTLY like her Daddy does!!

Play date

We went over to Kelly's house today to hang out for a bit. My sister was there with Tyler and Trevor as well as Amy (she's famously posted on the blog below) and her kids Carly, Taylor, Morgan, and Brady. Kelly has 4 kids as well-Lindsey, Becky, Sean, and little Ryan. Hunter hung out with Ryan who is 6 months old and crazy Trevor. Reagan couldn't get enough of the older girls. She thought they were soooo cool! (Man, it's going to be too soon before she's actually talking like that!) You'll have to excuse my picture taking abilities. I only got a couple of pics and they're blurry for some reason. I'm just not that technical of a person and we all know my fix-it man is a million miles away so I'm out of luck there.

The camera cable has arrived!

Here's some pics and video of our wonderful Wednesday. To make life a bit easier for me, I bought one of those big play yards. Reagan seriously crawls a million miles an hour and I can lose sight of her in mere seconds. Not to mention the fact that she pulls herself up onto everything and I just can't handle any more bonks on her head when she falls. So... the play yard has been fabulous! Tonight I had to separate them though because lately Reagan thinks it's pretty cool to beat up on her big brother. She loves to take advantage of the fact that he flat out refuses to learn anything but sit. When he falls over, he's totally fine right where he lies. But he does have a new talent now though!! Oh yes.. his finger found his nostril. And he just loves to stick his little finger up there and then blow out through his nose. Ah..boys. He has both of his bottom teeth now! They really are growing just a bit too fast for my liking though.

Lunchtime with turkey and vegetables
(The bibs say "feed me first...please". Presents from my friend Kerri.)Reagan in the play yard- aka: jail:-)
Hello? Can't you see me in here???
P.S. I tried to upload a video but I've been sitting here going on 45 minutes now while it said it was uploading and frankly.. I'm too tired to wait any longer. I'll try again later.

P.P.S. Ryan is STILL in Japan. Only 7 1/2 more days though until he's home. This single living isn't all that it's cracked up to be! Especially with a couple of 8 month olds! We miss you Ryan!!!

Favorite Things Party

Last night 11 of us girls had a Favorite Things party. It truly had to have been one of the coolest parties I've been to. Denise hosted it at her amazing house and we each brought 10 of our favorite things to give to each person. It was like Christmas for "grown-ups"! All of the gifts were great and it was fun to see everyone's "favorite thing" of the summer. I know you'll all have a hard time believing this, but my favorite thing was wine! So my gift was 10 bottles of Riesling. Yummy! Here are some pictures from last night. Luckily Jennie had a camera because I'm still hunting down my camera cable!

Christina was first up with her cute, little herb gardens! Amy & Ronda The girls opening their mojito kit from SharonKelly probably wishing she could drink the mojito NOW!
Susie with her Starbucks gift cards. VERY NICE!

Me and my wine. What was up with the face??!!

Kathryn handing out her very cool bracelet, earrings, and bitchen' tattoo
After the party-notice I'm no where in these pics. I'm a single mom these days and these fools stayed out until 2am!!!
Amy & Jennie Ronda & Christina- hope you got plenty of that water Ronda because I bet your head's a hurtin'!!!

My first day ALONE!

I'm so sorry but I don't have any pictures to post...just yet. I have to find the ellusive camera cable and I just don't have the energy to do so at this moment. Today was my very first official day alone. Yes, I had to join the Mommy real world for the first time. As you know, we have been in our house for a couple weeks now but Ryan has been home during that time. Well, this morning he headed back to Japan for two weeks and left me here all by my lonesome:-) Luckily for me, Hunter and Reagan are almost 8 months old (can you believe that??) so I have them on a fantastic schedule which helps life immensely. It goes something like this:
  • Up at 7 am
  • Eat bottle (yummy!)
  • Get dressed (all of us)
  • Eat fruit (even yummier!)
  • Nap at 9 am
  • Up at 11:30
  • Eat vegetables (the yummiest!)
  • Nap at 1 pm
  • Up at 3:30
  • Eat cereal (not so yummy...)
  • Get bath
  • Off to bed at 7:30

Not that anyone is the slightest bit interested in this schedule but I thought I'd write it down anyway. So back to what I was talking about in the first place. I am ALL alone! But... luckily for me I have some really great friends close by and tons of family all around so life is good. Can't be too bad if I'm here writing all of this at 7:47 pm and the house is silent... oh I love the sound of sleeping babies:-)

Check back for pictures. I promise I'll hunt down the camera cable very soon.

4th of July!!

We had quite the eventful 4th of July. It started out with a Kid Parade in our friend's neighborhood. All the kids decorated their bikes and the parents decorated the "non-bikers" wagons. Grandma and Grandpa Decker bought the grandkids a wagon so we were able to borrow that. I know we'll have to buy our own someday though. Dad was insistent on getting the old-fashioned Radio Flyer with the wood sides. I am so glad he got that one. It is too cute! So Ryan and I decorated it all up the night before the parade. Not sure what we were thinking though because the second Hunter and Reagan got in it they started destroying the decor! We're still learning....

We found out Hunter is allergic to sunscreen on his face as you can tell... Not sure what Reagan's deal was with that look. Edwards Family's 1st 4th

Then we made our way over to Grammy & Grandpa Edwards house for a YUMMY BBQ. The babies met their 3rd cousins Johnny & Kay. Then Hunter & Reagan skinny dipped for the 1st time:-)
