Thimble the Fairy

Today, Thimble the Fairy made an appearance at Joonbugz! If any of you follow me on Facebook, you already know just how in love I am with our new children's consignment boutique in town, Joonbugz. Joni is the owner and she really outdid herself today by having Thimble visit the kids. Thimble is a forest fairy who plays a wooden flute. She is absolutely gorgeous and mesmerizing. Reagan was in total awe as were the other little girls. I believe there were three sessions today and they all were packed. Rumor is that Thimble will be making a monthly appearance from now on and that just couldn't make Reagan any happier:-)

Auntie Ronda getting Reagan's hair all ready. Glitter spray included:-)

I'm not sure if you can see the details of the tutu's but my mom made both of them. Even though I'm totally biased, they really are the cutest tutus I've seen! Totally original!!

Camping at State Forest

We finally were able to go camping! Many campgrounds didn't open until recently because of all the snow we got this year. We drove over to State Forest State Park through the Poudre Canyon. The drive was gorgeous! The kids were so excited. We got plenty of fishing, hiking, and campfires in during the three days we were there. Jim, Brenda, Hayden, and Hayden's friend Harper met us up there on Saturday and stayed a night. We had a great time with them and Reagan was so excited to be with her Auntie Brenda again. Reagan thinks Brenda is pretty darn cool:-)

A girl and her favorite man in the whole, wide world... Daddy:-)

I wonder what he was thinking about??

Rewind 10 years and this is the very thing that made me giddy about Ryan. The only thing missing is his Carhartt jeans;-)
Poor Lillie. Not long after we arrived, she either got bitten or stuck her nose in something that her face really didn't like. Honestly, I couldn't help but laugh because she looked just like a bloodhound! A benadryl fixed her up quick though:-)
See? Just fine:-)
The kids loved gathering wood for the campfire.

Start. Start. Start.
For some reason, Hunter is intrigued by the most dangerous things. Water and now fire!!

The full moon was amazing!

Daddy helping Reagan flyfish.

The kids wore Brenda out with all the "bike ride mountains" (mountain bike riding)they went on.
Brenda and Jim's Scamp. Doesn't it look just like the old Mickey Mouse camper? Brenda asked Reagan if she wanted to stay with them for the night and Reagan replied "Umm... no. Your camper is too small." I guess she's a camping diva just like her momma.
The kids really wanted to feel a fish. Ryan caught this one and Reagan promptly named it Copper. Not sure where that name came from but good pick!
I wish I had video of how Reagan would cast her line with her little fishing pole. She did her best to mimic Daddy and I think she did just wonderfully:-) I think she is the future fly-fishergirl in the family.

Fourth of July, 2011

We spent our Fourth of July at the Eddy's house for a bbq and fireworks. They live in the country so we are able to get away with a lot more than we would on Sunshine Way:-) Their family was there along with Ronda and her family. I think it's safe to say that it was one of the best Fourth of July holidays we've had.

All the boys playing croquet. I really wish there was a picture of me kicking booty playing tennis!!

Kenny Chesney!

Friday, July 8th, we went to see Kenny Chesney at Red Rocks with our good friends Jaime, Susan, Damon, & Julie. Words truly cannot describe what an awesome time we had. One of the best things about concerts at Red Rocks is the tailgating you get to do beforehand. It's pure entertainment to sit there and people-watch. I even witnessed my first in-person planker (see below)!! Uncle Kracker and Grace Potter opened for him. I had no idea who Grace Potter was until I heard Kenny's song "You and Tequila" which I LOVE! Needless to say, she is amazing and just a tad gorgeous! Oh.. and the best part! It rained like mad for the first part of the concert!! It was A.W.E.S.O.M.E.!!!!
Us lovely ladies
Here's the planker!

I guess the rain made me very, very happy:-)
Gotta love Ryan's poncho. Of course he would be prepared with a hunting one!
Damon and Julie. Good times!
Susan and Jaime... in their FULL body ponchos!!! Always the prepared ones I tell ya!

Goooooood margaritas....
