Camping at State Forest

We finally were able to go camping! Many campgrounds didn't open until recently because of all the snow we got this year. We drove over to State Forest State Park through the Poudre Canyon. The drive was gorgeous! The kids were so excited. We got plenty of fishing, hiking, and campfires in during the three days we were there. Jim, Brenda, Hayden, and Hayden's friend Harper met us up there on Saturday and stayed a night. We had a great time with them and Reagan was so excited to be with her Auntie Brenda again. Reagan thinks Brenda is pretty darn cool:-)

A girl and her favorite man in the whole, wide world... Daddy:-)

I wonder what he was thinking about??

Rewind 10 years and this is the very thing that made me giddy about Ryan. The only thing missing is his Carhartt jeans;-)
Poor Lillie. Not long after we arrived, she either got bitten or stuck her nose in something that her face really didn't like. Honestly, I couldn't help but laugh because she looked just like a bloodhound! A benadryl fixed her up quick though:-)
See? Just fine:-)
The kids loved gathering wood for the campfire.

Start. Start. Start.
For some reason, Hunter is intrigued by the most dangerous things. Water and now fire!!

The full moon was amazing!

Daddy helping Reagan flyfish.

The kids wore Brenda out with all the "bike ride mountains" (mountain bike riding)they went on.
Brenda and Jim's Scamp. Doesn't it look just like the old Mickey Mouse camper? Brenda asked Reagan if she wanted to stay with them for the night and Reagan replied "Umm... no. Your camper is too small." I guess she's a camping diva just like her momma.
The kids really wanted to feel a fish. Ryan caught this one and Reagan promptly named it Copper. Not sure where that name came from but good pick!
I wish I had video of how Reagan would cast her line with her little fishing pole. She did her best to mimic Daddy and I think she did just wonderfully:-) I think she is the future fly-fishergirl in the family.
