Vacation Bible School

Hunter and Reagan were able to attend Vacation Bible School this year! That is definitely bittersweet for me. It's great that they are getting old enough to participate in all the fun camps but it is NOT great that they are getting old enough to participate in all the fun camps:-(
Something tells me they weren't too thrilled with getting their pictures taken...

Okay, I think I'll be back in order now. Maybe....

First Firestation Visit

Ronda and I took the kids to our local fire station (in March..haha!!) for their monthly storybook reading. The only problem was that we showed up on the wrong day!! I wish I could express on here the laugh that is coming out of me right now. LOL just doesn't do it justice!! The firefighters were so nice though and invited us in for our own tour. I was seriously mortified. I get embarrassed about things but this deal really made me want to dig a big hole and climb right in.

Anyhoo... the kids had an awesome time!!!

Brady (Amy T's little guy), Trevor, Hunter, & Reagan
I have to say... I'm not sure who put Hunter's shoes one because I KNOW I would not have put those socks on with those shoes!!

No storybook reading but they did get coloring books and pencils!

Disney's Princesses on Ice

This one is way behind;-) We went to see Disney's Princesses on Ice in April. Reagan was in heaven! She didn't take her eyes off the show for the entire time. Next time I'll definitely spring for seats that are closer!!

Tyler and Reagan. We went out to dinner before the show.
She was SOOOOO excited!!!
This is exactly how she looked the entire time.

She's got it!

I adore this picture. She dressed herself this day and notice everything is pink. It blows me away how I have such a girly girl. Whenever we go to stores she HAS to look at clothes and shoes and she lets me know that all while she's holding her hand on her hip! It's just amazes me how kids are pretty much born with their traits. For those of you who know me, I'm not much for looking at clothes and shoes. I know, I know... that may come as a shock to some;-)

Oh how I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!!

Children's Hospital

June 15th Reagan came down with a horrible sore throat and it came fast! I took her to the doctor who referred us to Children's Urgent Care. There is was determined that Reagan had an abscess on her tonsil that needed to be drained. On top of that she had strep. They were worried about her breathing so they transferred her to the main Denver campus via ambulance. It was definitely non-emergent but they wanted to cover all their bases.

The following morning, Reagan had a quick surgery to drain the abscess. I would love to say that she was a trooper through it all but really she was a feisty little thing. Ryan nicknamed her "The Diva of the 9th Floor". Yes, it was bad. The recovery room nurse said she was crying before she even woke up! I told people that Children's should at least have a bar that parents can escape tofor just a bit. I can't imagine what all the other parents are going through whose poor kids are there indefinitely.

Lucky for us though, we were outta there after two nights!

Daddy wanted to make a Mr Potato Head too....
...but he wanted a re-do on Reagan's face. HA!

She was a little freaked out with the ambulance. She was fine once we got inside though.
Big brother brought her balloons the next day though:-)

Poor baby girl:-(

Hunter loved the view!!

The resilience of kids never ceases to amaze me. We went home Friday morning and when we got out of the car, Reagan went running as fast as she could to Hunter and they just started playing! It would have taken me weeks to recover!!

Preschool Pictures

Obviously I'm a little late at getting these posted. Here's pictures from Hunter & Reagan's 2-3 years preschool year.

Poor baby girl. We found out she had pinkeye that afternoon. Oops!!

Brighton Oasis!!!

Brighton opened a new water park last month!!! The kids (not so) anxiously awaited this opening for a loooong time. It opened in the huge field across from my sister's house so they would have to see the construction of the fountains and huge water slides and I would have to teach them the word "patience" every stinkin' time we drove by!! We bought season passes this year so we were able to go the day before the actual opening. We got very spoiled though because now anytime we go I just get mad about how many people are there!!! Ugh.. evidently patience isn't my strong point either....

Open! Open! Open!

This picture cracks me up. Trevor is almost 2 months younger than Hunter & Reagan. Size doesn't show it!
Reagan wasn't much for the slide. The boys had their fair share though!
The best part about the Oasis is that they have Adult Swim time! Luckily for us, Amy's girls were there to help watch our kids so Ronda and I could go down one of the water slides together. I have NEVER.. I repeat NEVER had such a wild ride on a water slide as I did that one! We rode doubles and I swore we were going over the side. I slammed into the bottom of the pool at the end of it and had the scrapes on my knees to show it. AWESOME RIDE!!!!
