Who says Gnomes and Hippies aren't scary?!?!

Rob and Melissa hosted a Halloween Brunch yesterday morning. They went all out and it was amazing... and so much fun! I don't have a great picture of Rob but he was a vampire and even had the creepy contacts and everything! Hunter and Reagan were little garden gnomes. They were supposed to almost have matching costumes but evidently Hunter is a tad bigger than the 2T costume we got. He is a true 2T so I'm not sure what the costume was all about. So.. I had to buy him a Hansel bottom and keep the hat, beard, and booties from the gnome costume. I know for a fact he will want to do harm to me when he sees what I dressed him as for his 2nd Halloween. I don't have very long to dress them how I want so I am taking full advantage of it while I have the chance!

Melissa & ITrevor (Little Bo Peep's sheep!)Ronda the Rydell cheerleader and Tyler as Little Bo PeepShe was pooped!

This is pretty much where he hung out for the entire party. He loves his cars and trains!

Yummy!!!
Cade the Dinosaur!

After the party, we came home, the kids napped and then they went outside to play in the snow! The wonderful thing about Colorado weather is that it can be warm even though there is snow on the ground. They built a snowman and thankfully it was Halloween because it was a pretty scary looking snowman!

I told you it's warm with snow on the ground! I totally dig the shorts AND snowboots!

And... you can slide in the snow! Can you tell she's been waiting on Hunter awhile???

Finally, it was time to carve the pumpkins! Grandpa and Grammy came over to bring some Halloween gifts. They brought plenty of change for Hunter and Reagan to feed to their pigs too! The boy loves his suckers!

He loved this part!! Ick!!

Well.. it may not have been warm enough to not have any clothes on outside but we've been known to be a little white trash now and then...
Hunter is proud of his "jack"

We hope everyone had a very fun Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Here's a couple pictures of Hunter and Reagan on Halloween Eve. Don't mind the sucker slobber all over Hunter's shirt. I was just lucky to get a picture!

Snow Day(s)!!!!

Yesterday, the downpour began and it is still coming down as we speak. Unfortunately, the wind has kicked up a bit so now the snow is going sideways. I'm thinking we might be in for one heck of a winter considering this big of storm hit us BEFORE November!!

I felt horrible yesterday when I remembered that I hadn't outfitted the twins in winter gear for this year yet. Hunter was standing at the sliding glass door whining and on the verge of crying because he couldn't go outside in the snow. So... dear 'ol Daddy ventured on over to Target to get all that they needed: snowboots, Hunter's snowpants, hats, and mittens. We thought Reagan's snowsuit from last year would still work. Oh, it worked all right but she was sporting her pants a little short:-) We had so much fun in the snow! We didn't make it outside until after 5pm so we didn't get to hang out for long. Ryan even built a sledding hill in the backyard and Hunter and Reagan thought sledding down it was about as fun as it gets!

I'm not sure if you've ever read those emails titled "Wyoming" or "Colorado" but they talk about the first snowstorm of the year and how everyone is all excited and building snowmen and loving the fact that they live there, yada yada. Then on down further it starts talking about how sick of the snow they are and they're ready to move. I'm just preparing you for what may be ahead in a future blog posting of mine:-)

"Let's go see why the heck we look like the boy on 'A Christmas Story'!"

Don't worry, it wasn't yellow snow he was eating:-)
I am still trying to figure out why I can never make a normal face in any picture!

Reagan loved the snowballs

The camera died before we could get one of Reagan on the sled:-(

Raking ALL the leaves

Ryan (and Hunter of course!) got the leaves raked up JUST in time for the huge snowstorm! The twins are such a big help when it comes to chores like these;-)

WHOA! What a BIG boy!

"I don't need to help. I'll just stand around and look cute."

Harvest Fellowship Pumpkin Patch

How fitting! Our church is named Harvest Fellowship and yes, they had a pumpkin patch:-) The money from the pumpkin sales went to the youth group and I'm hoping they did really well! We took the twins on opening day hoping to go to the petting zoo but the animals showed up late! We still got to go on the hay ride though and we were all okay with that. The pics aren't that great considering I have 2 kiddos who aren't that fond of posing.

23 Months Today!

Only one more month until my little squirts are TWO!! They are becoming quite the little characters these days. Today, Reagan learned to say YEEHAW and she hasn't stopped saying it since. Actually, it's more of a yell. Gee.. can't imagine where she learned that! Hunter loves, loves, loves to say Thank You which makes me very happy. He'll thank you for anything and everything... over and over!

I have alot of pictures to put on here but I'm having a rough time finding the camera cable. So.. here are some pictures off of my niece's cell phone from this past weekend. Danny, Kristi, Cody, and Caitlyn came to town to surprise Mom for her 62nd birthday. Saturday night we surprised her again with our new fave, Ahhh Mobile Spa. They set up two massage tables in the bedrooms in Mom and Dad's basement and us girls had a nice little spa party. Happy Birthday Mom!!

Danny & Hunter at the Pepper Pod. I'd like to think Hunter isn't really picking his nose but, actually, these days he could just be doing that! Also, notice the size of Danny's beer. Don't worry.. he didn't need a refill! It seems as though Caitlyn is the only one who can get Reagan to smile in pictures. Did you notice?? She actually has a REAL bow in her hair...and curls!!

Petting Farm

We went over to Piccadilly Nursery today to buy some plume grass for our backyard. Once again we have the same problem that we had with our house in Texas... the 6 foot fence just isn't tall enough! The plume grass is supposed to get around 8 feet and we bought 7 of them so that should do the trick. Anyhoo... while we were there we were told that they have a petting farm in the back. I'm sure the twins were excited but NO ONE was as excited as I was!! They had 2 pygmy goats and I have always wanted a pygmy goat. Living in the burbs just isn't going to get me one though... So the petting farm included 2 pygmy goats, a regular goat, a mini donkey (SO stinkin' cute!), and a calf (cow calf that is..). They also had chickens and two cute little kittens. Reagan loved watching the kittens play around. I think I foresee a kitten (or two!) in our future. Especially since we've been finding mice in our garage with the building going on around us and the cooler weather moving in. That's a good excuse, right???

Hunter kinda blends in with the hay on the left:-)

It's just not easy getting 2 to look and smile at the same time

If you sing the ABC's.. you can get Reagan to smile though
I'm sure I've mentioned about 100 times before what a freak Hunter is for water...

Boppy is her buddy
He seriously pushed this around. Not sure where he gets his strength from cause his mommy and daddy are a couple of wimps!
Reagan found this fish flowerpot decoration and would not let it go. She kept calling it Dorothy so MaMa (Grandma) made sure she had it!
See? I told you so!!!

Reagan with the kitties

Now why would a girl eat her lunch at the picnic table when she could eat IN Daddy's landscaping wagon??
